Product Description
The 16-Channel Relay Module is a full-height module that provides 16 relayoutputs. Any number of 16-Channel Relay Modules can be placed in any of theslots to the right of the Rack Interface Module. Each output of the 16-ChannelRelay Module can be independently programmed to perform needed votinglogic.
Programming for the Alarm Drive Logic uses AND and OR logic, and can usealarming inputs (Alert and Danger statuses), Not- OK, or individual PPLs fromany monitor channel or any combination of monitor channels in the rack. Usersprogram this Alarm Drive using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to meetthe specific needs of the application.

- The 3500/33 16-Channel Relay Modulerequires the 3500 Rack Config, version 3.3or later.
- The 3500/33 requires the 3500 DataAcquisition Software, version 2.40 or later.
- The 3500/33 16-Channel Relay Modulerequires the 3500 Data Display Software,version 1.40 or later.
- When ordered with the multipleapprovals option (-02), the 3500 monitoris certified to Zone 2 standards, includingATEX and North American zones.
- The Zone 2 standards specify increasedspacing requirements at higher voltages.The 3500/33 16-Channel Relay Moduledoes not meet these spacingrequirements. Thus, the module orderedwith the multiple approvals option islimited to a lower voltage than those withthe other approvals options.
- Using higher voltages violates thehazardous area certificates associatedwith the multiple approvals option.
