VIBRO-METER IQS450 204-450-000-002 Signal Conditioner

This proximity measurement system enables non-contact measurement of the relative displacement of moving mechanical components. It is particularly suitable for measuring the relative vibration and axial position of rotating shafts in machinery such as steam, gas, and water turbines, generators, turbo-compressors, and pumps. The system consists of a TQ 402 or TQ 412 non-contact sensor and an IQS 450 signal conditioner. Together, they form a calibrated proximity measurement system with interchangeable components. The system outputs a voltage or current proportional to the distance between the sensor probe and the target (e.g., the rotating shaft). The IQS 450 signal conditioner contains a high-frequency modulator/demodulator that provides the driving signal to the sensor. This signal generates the electromagnetic field used for gap measurement. The signal conditioner circuitry uses high-quality components and is housed in an aluminum enclosure.
