The Woodward load sharing module is designed for Cat engines equipped with a Cat digital speed controller with a pulse width modulation (PWM) input. The load sharing module allows the use of Woodward power generating accessories and allows load sharing between engines equipped with a Cat digital speed controller and engines equipped with a Woodward electronic controller.
The load sharing module provides synchronization and droop load sharing capabilities for engines equipped with Cat digital controllers in generator set applications. Other devices in the control system can include Woodward SPM-A synchronizers, parallel phase switches, import/export control, precise frequency control, automatic generator load control, and automatic power transfer and load control.
