The Allen-Bradley 5069-L3100ERMS3 is a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) that belongs to the Compact GuardLogix 5380 controller. The 5069-L3100ERMS3 is suitable in applications that require up to and including SIL 3 requirement. Though this is a safety controller, the 5069-L3100ERMS3 carries the specifications and operation of a standard CompactLogix controllers as it comes with 10 MB standard user memory that similarly support up to 31 Tasks. Additionally, this user memory is provided with a non-volatile memory that may be expanded up to 32 GB. This non-volatile memory is typically used for data logging and recipe management as well as for a certain degree of store forward functionality.
The 5069-L3100ERMS3 Compact GuardLogix controller is compatible for with standard and safety I/O modules via local installation or through distributed I/O architecture. This controller ang the associated modules are DIN rail mounted devices that supports horizontal installation only. The recommended DIN rail type for use is a Compatible zinc-plated, chromate steel DIN rail or EN50022 - 35 x 7.5 mm (1.38 x 0.30 in.). Never use DIN rails that are made with materials of poor conductivity as the DIN rail component also connects the Controller and the component module to the grounding system.
