The Allen-Bradley 1440-VST02-01RA eccentricity module is part of the XM Module Series by Allen-Bradley. This 2-channel eccentricity monitor can be used to measure the degree of the bow in rotors. It can be used as a stand-alone application or it can be integrated with control system networks or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). The lower the eccentricity value, the straighter the shaft, and vice versa. The rotor bow can either be a fixed mechanical bow, or a temporary bow as a result of uneven thermal heating or it can be caused by the rotor's weight (gravity bow). The 1440-VST02-01RA eccentricity module is ideal for nearly all types of reciprocating or rotating machinery, where the rotor bow must be checked before or during startup.
