Installation Guide
- Installation Preparation: Confirm that the probe model and system length (probe + extension cable) match the requirements of the proximitor sensor. Prepare a torque wrench (recommended torque 15-18 N·m), a dial indicator, a mounting bracket, and an explosion-proof sealed connector (for use in hazardous areas).
- Positioning: Mark the mounting holes in the X/Y directions of the bearing housing. Ensure that the probe axis is perpendicular to the measured shaft surface (deviation ≤ 2°). Set the initial clearance to the midpoint of the linear range (2.5 mm) to avoid exceeding the measurement range and causing signal nonlinearity.
- Mechanical Fixing: Thread the probe into the mounting base, controlling the tightening force with a torque wrench (to avoid thread damage). After installation, use a dial indicator to check that the probe radial runout is ≤ 0.02 mm to ensure a stable measurement reference.
- System Connections: Connect the probe cable and extension cable via a dedicated explosion-proof connector (sealed for hazardous areas). Connect the other end of the extension cable to the "PROBE" port on the 3300 XL proximitor sensor. The output of the proximitor sensor is connected to the 3500 monitor.
