BECKHOFF CX1020-0000 Basic CPU Module

The basic CX1020 CPU module features a 1 GHz Intel® CPU. This controller requires no fan or other rotating parts. In addition to the CPU and chipset, the CX1020 module also includes varying amounts of main memory. The controller boots from Compact Flash. The basic configuration of the CX1020 includes a 128 MB Compact Flash card and two RJ45 Ethernet interfaces. These interfaces are connected to an internal switch, making it easy to create a line topology without an additional Ethernet switch. All other CX series components can be connected via the PC/104 interfaces provided on both sides. A passive cooling module is included in the scope of supply. The operating system is optionally available with Windows Embedded CE 6 or Windows Embedded Standard 2009. TwinCAT 2 automation software transforms the CX1020 system into a powerful PLC and motion control system, capable of operating with or without visualization. Unlike the CX1010, the CX1020 can also be used for interpolation of axis motions via TwinCAT 2 NC I. Additional system interfaces or fieldbus connections can be added to the basic CPU module. This CPU module requires a CX1100 power supply module. All CX1500 fieldbus modules and all CX1100 power supplies from the CX series can be used with the CX1020. The CX1020 Embedded PC is also available as an option for the CX1900-0320 with zero L2 cache. Instead of a 1 GHz processor with 512 kB of L2 cache (L2), this controller uses a more affordable processor with no L2 cache (L2 = 0 kB). Since the CX1900-0320 shares the same 855GME chipset as the CX1020, the basic features of the CX1020 remain unchanged, except for the slightly lower CPU power.
