Notes
- The shaft surface must meet standards: The diameter of the measured shaft must be no less than 76.2mm, and the surface roughness must be Ra ≤ 1.6μm. Otherwise, eddy current effects will be affected, resulting in inaccurate measured data.
- Enough probe spacing: If multiple probes are installed on a single device, they must be at least 50.8mm apart to prevent electromagnetic interference between the probes, which can cause signal distortion.
- Don't mess with cables: Cable bends must have a sufficient arc, at least a 50mm radius, and avoid hard bends. If the cable is near high-temperature pipes, add a thermal insulation sleeve, otherwise the cable will easily age and break.
- Regular calibration is essential: Test the probe sensitivity on a standard calibration bench every 18 months to ensure accuracy has not decreased. Don't wait until the data becomes inaccurate to discover problems.
