Bently Nevada 3500/77M (model: 140734-07) is a dual-channel phase/speed module in the 3500 series monitoring system. It is designed for speed and phase measurement of rotating machinery. The core is used for speed (RPM) monitoring, overspeed protection, and generating key phase reference signals and synchronous sampling triggers required for vibration analysis. It can adapt to various input types such as eddy current probes and magnetoelectric sensors.
This module supports two independent speed/phase sensor inputs and can be configured for redundant monitoring or signal acquisition at different measurement points. The speed measurement range covers 0 to hundreds of thousands of RPM, and the phase resolution is ±1°; the key phase function provides vibration signal phase reference pulse output, supports rising/falling edge trigger configuration, and programmable overspeed threshold outputs alarm or shutdown signals through relays, and has dynamic delay compensation to ensure phase measurement accuracy. The hardware is compatible with a variety of sensors such as 8mm eddy current probes and magnetoresistive probes. The input signal range is -1V to -24V, and the output includes 4-20mA speed analog, relay alarm and key phase TTL pulse. It supports hot plugging and communication through the 3500 frame backplane.
As a 3500 system component, it interacts with the frame controller through TDIXnet or Modbus protocol and uploads data to DCS/PLC. The speed/phase trend and alarm status can be visualized in the System 1 software. It is typically used in overspeed protection and vibration analysis of steam turbines/gas turbines, phase monitoring fault diagnosis of compressors/pump groups, and speed synchronization and dynamic balance monitoring of generators.
