The MVI56E Modbus TCP/IP Multi Client Enhanced Communication Module for Remote Chassis allows Rockwell Automation ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) to interface easily with multiple Modbus TCP/IP server-compatible instruments and devices. The Multi Client module improves performance when controlling multiple servers on a Modbus TCP/IP network, by supporting up to 30 clients.
MVI56E enhancements include configuration and management through the module Ethernet port, CIPconnect technology for bridging through ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks, and has a web server to access on-board documentation, Add-On Instructions, and sample program files.

Description

The MVI56E-MNETCR module from Allen-Bradley and Prosoft Technology is an enhanced communications module that is made to be mounted in a remote chassis. The MVI56E-MNETCR communications module is part of the ControlLogix series and it is a member of the MVI56E product line within that series.
The MVI56E-MNETCR communications module can handle both read data and write data. It is designed to page 40 blocks of registered read or write data at a time and to be able to handle 600 registers of read data and 600 registers of write data in total. The backplane current load rating for the MVI56E-MNETCR communications module is 800 milliamps at 5 Volts DC or 3 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. The operating temperature range for this module is from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and its storage temperature range is from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. It can tolerate 5 to 95% relative humidity without condensation.
